Jesus bore a literal cross to Calvary and He hung upon it.   

But the real Cross, The Cross, was the fact that He was despised and rejected of men .   

Your Cross and mine is bearing The Cross of rejection as a result of taking the name of Christ Jesus as our banner and testifying to His Lordship as Saviour and King.
