A Secular Humanist society sees all Knowledge as Good.   However, the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil represents the first experience with Knowledge that was Evil.   Eve experimented with its fruit and the result was Death.   

So, seeking Knowledge for Knowledge sake is not a Healthy pursuit.   Seeking to Know God is Healthy.   As a matter of fact, the Knowledge of God is the only worthwhile pursuit.   

To facilitate our efforts to Know Him God became flesh and dwelt among us.   He revealed the Truth about Himself - that He is Love , that He is Merciful , that He is Giving , that He wants Relationship with us.
