| A seed contains the image of the thing for which it was created.
A seek is both physical and spiritual. It is a physical entity with the spiritual life force in it.
The Word Of The Lord is seed. Jesus is the Incarnate Word. He is physical and spiritual. He is Spirit Soul And Body. He was buried in the earth in order to bring forth many Sons.
Spiritual Law: Seed Time And Harvest
- Our heart is the soil
- Meditation on the Word is an investment of time
- When the Word is settled in our heart by revelation we reap the harvest which is faith
Faith enables us to tap into Grace
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. |
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. |
He that goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. |
You must sow seed in order to reap.
The most important seed is the Word Of The Lord! read it. Meditate on it. Speak it.
Don’t reject the seed principle! by Barry Bennett
In some circles the message of Seed Time and harvest is being rejected. Some say it is a message of greed while others believe there is no such principle in the message of Grace.
The rejection of the message of Seed Time and harvest is due to the feeling that it is wrong to expect something from the Lord for something we give. However, the expectation of blessing as a result of obeying or giving is found throughout scripture.
What were the children of israel to expect when they obeyed the Lord’s instructions at the first passover? What was the widow woman to expect when she gave part of her last meal to Elijah? What did the boy unleash when he gave his lunch to Jesus to feed thousands?
After lending his boat to Jesus, what was Peter to expect when Jesus told him throw his net into the sea? What was the promise given to the Philippians after giving their sacrificial gift to Paul? What should the cheerful giver expect who sowed bountifully into the offering for needy saints?
What did the Lord expect when He sowed Jesus on the cross?
If expectation of increase is wrong, then the Gospel message is wrong. What do You expect for giving your heart to the Lord? What do You expect when You lay hands on the sick? What do You expect when You believe a promise from the Lord?
Why did Jesus tell us to give and it would be given unto us pressed down, shaken together and running over? why didn’t He say, “however, this won’t work for money”? Isn’t money an extension of our lives, the compensation for our time and skill? Isn’t how we manage our money an indicator of our values, our integrity and our faith?
Can Money be misused to sow to the flesh? Can’t money be used to bless the work of the Lord? If the misuse of money reaps corruption, won’t assigning money a spiritual purpose unlock a harvest of Grace?
Isn’t Faith a positive expectation that pleases the Lord?
When I give I expect increase in my life. My giving is an extension of the Grace of the Lord in my life. Whether I give time, wisdom, knowledge, forgiveness or resources, every act of giving is a seed that unlocks a harvest in my life.
I expect favor, blessing, healing, vision, joy, peace, love and resources to increase in my life. This is how the kingdom is extended in the hearts of men.
Your future is in the seeds You possess right Now. Sow them in faith to bless others and expect the Lord's blessings in your life!
And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how. |
For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. |
Your Seeds by Barry Bennett
It is your seed that determines the increase in your life. It isn’t what others can do for You that makes You successful. It is what You choose to do with what You have. Everything is seed.
Your thoughts about yourself shape your present and future.
Your attitude draws or repels opportunities and blessings.
Your words are life or death.
Your faith can receive every promise of the Lord.
Your giving unlocks ‘all Grace ’ that You might have an abundance.
Your love will see needs and get involved
Your vision will create the environment to fulfill your divine purpose.
His wisdom unlocks His abundance in your life.
Everything is seed. Increase is in your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart You will bring forth abundance or Lack, hope or Despair. Choose life and prepare for the abundant life of sowing and reaping.
Say a kind Word to someone. You are sowing. Pray for someone. You are sowing. Bless someone with an offering. You are sowing. Spend time meditating in the Word. You are sowing. Give thanks. You are sowing. Speak blessings over yourself and your family. You are sowing.
Once You see yourself as a “ sower ”, your attitude toward life will change. And the harvests of His favor, blessings, provision and health will overtake you!
Seeds of Expectancy by Barry Bennett
Any farmer will tell You that sowing gives birth to expectation. You can’t expect a harvest from seed You haven’t sown. Expectation is the soil of faith.
God sowed Jesus into humanity with the expectation of reaping millions of sons and daughters.
If the Lord adheres to His own principles, why do some fight against them? Everything in life functions according to the divine principle of sowing and reaping. Paul said that they who sow to the flesh will reap corruption, and they who sow to the Spirit will reap everlasting life.
Everything you have and everything You are is seed that carries potential. Every thought, Word, action and attitude is seed. The seed will always bear the nature of its source. A watermelon seed will always bear the nature of the watermelon from which it came. A thought, word or action will bear the nature of its source as well. Your heart is the source.
In every heart there is good or evil, fear or faith, life or death. The expectancy of the heart determines the destiny of the seed the heart produces. You can’t expect a harvest of blessing from seeds of fear, negativity and complaining.
Begin to sow your thoughts, words and actions with a heart of love, faith and blessing for others. Let the kingdom work in your favor! And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
The second most important seed though it is the least of Seeds: money by Barry Bennett
Jesus taught that there is a progression toward abundance.
For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. |
He also taught the importance of being faithful in the small things.
The context of the above verse is Christ's teaching on Finances.
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. |
And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of you? give an account of your stewardship; for you may be no longer steward. |
Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord takes away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. |
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. He bought favors by reducing their debt. |
So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owe you unto my lord? |
And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take your bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. |
Then said he to another, And how much owe you? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take your bill, and write fourscore. |
And if you have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? We are bought with a price and so how we live our lives in the Spirit indicates how how much we are faithful with another person's property. |
We are expected to be faithful in our Finances. If we cannot be faithful in that we cannot be faithful in greater things like being set free from bondage and healing.
We are stewards of the Lord's gifts and He blesses us as we operate with this understanding. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete with such it shall be measured to you again. |
