Somehow the American people bought in to the idiotic notion that we need full-time legislators. This country was built on freedom. Laws do nothing but infringe on freedom!

We need our legislators to stop creating new laws and start repealing most of what has been passed - particularly over the past 50 years. Once they have cleaned the books so that our law base is understandable and acceptable to the people, they can go home.

Quarterly meetings of one week duration to quickly dispense of new issues would be sufficient. Obviously, in times of crisis they would assemble ad hoc.

The American people make this country great - not our legislators, not our executives and not our judges.
