The only people who who truly turn to God are those who recognize their need to be in Fellowship with Him.   This is a result of the Holy Spirit drawing them.   

Those that are scared into a flimsy encounter to get baptised or join a church very rarely demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit.   They rarely develop as Sons of God.   They often remain bitter about what they "gave up" for Salvation.   They don`t do a good job of representing Christ.   

Jesus is to be desired above everything in the universe!   When presented properly His Holy Spirit will draw the Unbeliever to Him more often than not.   

Jesus is altogether lovely.   Come unto me ALL ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you Rest.    For God so loved...   This is the message (the Gospel ) of Christ.   

As to the Wrath of God , it was satisfied in Jesus Sacrifice.   There only remains a single day of Wrath when Jesus returns (just one day).   In that day He will gather the Tares and they will be burned.

and most importantly:

Today there is a sense of urgency for Christians to fulfil their responsibility to Christ.   We are to be Witnesses unto Him.   Sadly, many of the Believers of His day did not take a stand for Him.
