Title: Who and what is God?

Everyone has an idea about God - even atheists who make themselves god.

Traditional theology identifies God as the supreme being and creator of all things.

But is He kind or crusty?

Does He have a body?

Has anyone ever seen God?

Has anyone ever heard God?

Is God paying attention?

Is God dead?

Is God relevant?

What is God's name?

The answers to all of these questions and more are found in the Bible, God's Word.
He that loves not knows not the Holy Spirit; for the Holy Spirit is love.
To be In Christ is to be in love because the Holy Spirit is love.

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
This is an amazing verse!     Let's enumerate the points it makes:
Jesus is the epitome of God's Glory
    Jesus is how God looks
Jesus holds everything together by the Word of His Power
Jesus has purged all sin by himself
Jesus is seated at the right hand of Majesty
This profound statement speaks to the fact that matter exists and is ordered by the command of the eternal Word by the eternal Spirit.

It explains why science is unable to fathom the essence of matter.     They have reached the point where the energy to inspect the smaller particles moves them (Heisenberg uncertainty principle).
If they were able to keep delving they would find nothing material, only Jesus' spoken Word!

The Holy Spirit is The Majesty.     Jesus is His physical form.     The Majesty is not defined by dimensions.     He is infinite.     Jesus' body is finite but He is the focal point of The Majesty.     We cannot 'see' His Holy Spirit in the same way we 'see' Jesus.     -

Who is the image of the invisible Holy Spirit, the firstborn of every creature:
This verse says that 'God' is invisible.
He is invisible because He is Spirit - the Holy Spirit .

Jesus is what the Holy Spirit looks like.     He is the body and soul of the Holy Spirit.     Jesus is the name of the Holy Spirit Father.

Jesus is the first and formost Son Of The Holy Spirit the only One that is physically begotten.

To try to believe in and approach the Holy Spirit apart from faith in Christ Jesus is futile.     Jesus is the Strait Gate and the Narrow Way to knowing, receiving and experiencing the Holy Spirit, to becoming one with Him.

For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
The Holy Spirit is the authority that informed and empowered Jesus.

Jesus has given us the Holy Spirit so that we now have His power and His authority.

Be not you therefore like unto them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.
In prayer 'acknowledgement' should be a mainstay.
    acknowledge His sovereignty.
    acknowledge His goodness.
    acknowledge His blessings.
    acknowledge His love.
    acknowledge His provision.
    acknowledge His Plan.

I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Jesus has all power in heaven and earth.     He is the righteous judge.     He is Mighty God and Everlasting Father.

Christ Jesus is our deliverer from the penalty of sin.

He has the keys to unlock and release us from death and the penalty of sin.

For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son Of Man be.
physical lightening is visible for miles.     The brightness of His coming will illuminate the whole earth instantly.

I charge you therefore before the Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Jesus is the righteous judge.     believers will stand before Him in His Judgment Seat Of Christ to receive a reward.     unbelievers will appear before Him in the White Throne Judgment.

Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, even the Son, even the Holy Spirit:
We are to teach all nations.     What do we teach?     The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the key component of the Gospel?     That Jesus is the Truth about our Creator.

What is the Truth?     That Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Note that 'name' is singular - there is only one name and that is Jesus.

But how can Jesus be the Father and the Son?     To understand this we must know who the Father is.     He is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said 'I and my Father are One'.     This means that the Holy Spirit Father is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.     Jesus spoke through the prophets about Himself by His Holy Spirit.     He then became the person He prophesied about - Jesus.

Jesus fathered Himself by His Holy Spirit, just as He raised Himself from the dead by His Holy Spirit.

So, rather than talking about some confusing trinitarian circular logic about the three-in-one godhead, we aught to recognize
that Jesus is the name of the Father,
that Jesus is the name of the Son and
that Jesus is the name of the Holy Spirit.

The 'name' of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is 'Jesus'.     Jesus is the Father.     He is the Son.     He is the Holy Spirit.

'Baptize' simply means 'immerse'.

Jesus did not specify that we be baptized in water.     Rather, He said we were to be baptized in 'the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit'.     Jesus is that name.     We are to be immersed in Him who is the Truth about deity.

The next verse clarifies this type of baptism.     It is making disciples of men, not just dousing them in water.

The Truth is that we should speak of 'God' only in the context of Jesus.     Otherwise we move into an area of speculation, mysticism and error.     Jesus is the only Truth about 'God'.     Note that we are to grow in Grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus and not 'God' .

A key aspect of the Truth of Jesus is His being the express image of the Holy Spirit, our Heavenly Father.     Jesus is a divine man.     He is Spirit Soul And Body.     His Spirit is the Holy Spirit, and that which the Holy Spirit fathered is His Soul and Body.     Jesus Is Lord.

So, teaching is the means by which people are immersed into Christ Jesus, understanding who He is, what He did and what He expects from us.

Water Baptism is a ritual and should be treated as such.     It is not spiritual.     Teaching and immersing the hearers into Jesus is the point of this verse and the next one.

In The Name Of the ( Father, Son, Holy Spirit) is In Jesus' Name.

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Holy Spirit Father.
All humanity will speak in confession that Jesus is Lord and thus glorify the Father whose plan He fulfilled.

Who is the Father?     Holy Spirit.

It was the Holy Spirit that impregnated Mary.     It was the Holy Spirit that was in Jesus empowering Him to speak and do His will.

Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father.
Jesus is the body of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.
