| The primary usage of the word Confess in the old testament is to reveal Sin. The primary usage of the word Confess in the new testament is reveal Christ.
We are not to be preoccupied with Sin. We are to be preoccupied with Christ.

I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.
