Title: To rule, to execute the Power and Authority of a King

As children of God we are royalty and are designed to reign.

And the Lord said, I will make man in my image, after my likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.
The 'us' and 'our' pronouns were written into the translations because of the implications of Elohim possibly being more than one God.     We know this is error because of

The correct rendering is 'I will make man in my image, after my likeness'.

Jesus is the Truth about Creator God.     The Word tells us that He is Creator and that He is the express image of the Father, the Holy Spirit - His Spirit.

Man was created to be like the Lord in His image to share in dominion with Him over the universe.

Man's part of the universe is the earth to which the Lord gave Adam dominion.     Adam was in relationship with the Lord and was expected to refer to the Lord for whatever wisdom he needed to rule the earth.

Adam's sin caused two things:
1) Adam's spirit was corrupted into a Sin Nature thus losing fellowship with the Lord.
2) Adam relinquished dominion over the earth to Satan.

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ).
Yes!     We reign in life.     We are more than conquerors.     We are now Sons Of The Holy Spirit.     This is the same Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead.     We can do all things through the Holy Spirit of Jesus who strengthens us.

That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Sin results in bondage which ends in death.

Grace imparts righteousness enabling us to explore Eternal Life.

Grace is extended to us through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

To reign is to have dominion.     We will either be dominated or we will dominate.     It is our Lord's will that we dominate .

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.
To reign is to have dominion.     We are free from bondage and ought not to allow ourselves to come back under it.

Note that it says do not let sin reign in your mortal body.     It cannot reign in your spirit which is perfect.     Your body has not yet been redeemed.     It is corruptible.     If will one day put on incorruption.     At that time, it will be immune from sin.

But, at the moment, your body is mortal meaning it is subject to death.     So, you must mortify the lusts of the flesh in order to preserve it.     -

Now you are full, now you are rich, you have reigned as kings without us: and I would to the Lord you did reign, that we also might reign with you.
The Lord blesses us in all areas of our lives so that we prosper.     In our prosperity we are enabled to help the ministry to prosper.

For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet.
Jesus has all power in heaven and in earth.     He is King Of Kings and Lord Of Lords.

This title was given Him by His Holy Spirit Father.

Jesus' is using His power and authority to put all under the authority of His Holy Spirit Father.

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
We bear His reproach so we can reign with Him.

We bear His reproach only to the extent that we proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ as Mighty God, Saviour, Lord and King.

We cannot reign with Him unless we are willing to suffer with Him for the Truth and Light that He is and that we are in Him.

And have made us unto our Lord kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Many Christians do not believe in their sonship, their royalty, their authority and their power.
As a result, they are weak and ineffective.

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
This is in fulfilment of our Lord's instruction for us to pray that the Lord's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Many Christians push back on dominionism but the fact is that Christ is already king of kings and Lord of lords.     All power in heaven and earth has already been given to Him.

He left us in charge of His property until He returns.     We are His stewards and should already be ruling the nations as the head and not the tail.

Saying, We give you thanks, O Lord Almighty, who is, and was, and is to come; because you have taken to you your great power, and have reigned.
Jesus Christ returns and takes power over earth.

Jesus is Lord the Lord Creator Almighty!

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord omnipotent reigns.
The Lord reigns in fact after the end of man's reign here on earth.     And that is something to rejoice about.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of the Lord, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
At his appearing the dead in Christ are raised to incorruption as well as we which are alive.     Together with the Lord we will reign for 1000 years on this earth.

Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of the Lord and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
We who are translated at Christ's return will be forever with the Lord.

We will reign with Him to create a kingdom based on love, faith, freedom and responsibility.     That kingdom will flourish in accordance with the Law Of The Lord.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord gives them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
We reign in the sense that there is no bondage, no fear, no care, no needs.

Who is Running Your life?   by Barry Bennett What role do You play in your own destiny?   What role does God play?   Over many centuries the church has adopted the view that God is in control of All things and whatever happens is His will.

Some even attribute sickness, war, famine and other kinds of evil to God’s mysterious will.   Many understand man’s capacity to choose to be limited to the clothes he wears and which brand of tooth paste he prefers.

Beyond that, man is just a pawn in the predetermined plan of God.   Some believe that our eternal destiny was decided by God before we were ever born.   How can those concepts fit with the following verses?

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:

You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put All things under his feet,

The Heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.

those who receive abundance of Grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

For assuredly, I say to You, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does Not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.   Mk 11:23

Therefore Submit to God.   Resist the devil and he will flee from You.

This is just a small sample of verses that reveal man’s role and purpose in the earth.   God has created us to reign in life, to have dominion, to have what we say and to resist the works of the enemy.   If we don’t do it, God can’t.   He has limited Himself to the integrity of His creation and His Word.   He has given the earth to man.

We are either cooperating with God and extending His kingdom, or we are cooperating with the enemy and extending his darkness.   God will honor your choices.
