Godliness

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Danger is often thought of in physical terms but spiritual danger has a more long term effect.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
The 'Me' generation. Self Worship is idolatry.

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Natural affection is wholesome, tender, warming and selfless. The affection of the self-worshipper is the opposite. We are seeing hate toward those who love the Lord.

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of the Lord; Translated from KJV
Traitors are destroying our country and traitors to Christ are compromising with other religions. All of the compromise is so that their pleasure will not be interrupted.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Jesus said tarry in Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high. The power that was received was the Holy Spirit, the Lord Himself.
The Holy Spirit, who is the Lord, is the power of our faith. To deny the power of the Lord is to deny the Holy Spirit in us who is Christ in us, our only hope.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Jesus wants us to be like Him.     After all, He created us in His image .      He chided His disciples when they did not measure up to their potential.     'Oh you of litte faith, why are you so fearful' .
Jesus made it possible for us to be accepted by His Holy Spirit through His blood sacrifice .      Once cleansed He made it possible for us to receive His Holy Spirit .      The Holy Spirit of Christ is who raised Christ Jesus from the dead .      He told us that greater deeds would we do as a result of receiving that gift .
But, in order for us to realize our potential we must 'realize our potential' .      As we think in our hearts so are we .      For me or you to reach our potential in Christ we must believe what He said about us to the extent that we allow it to transform our thoughts, words and deeds .
The Mind Of Christ is achieved by knowingly and willingly being transformed by the Word and Holy Spirit .      We must desire to have the Mind Of Christ and we must feed on what He fed on to arrive at the same place He did .
Jesus said the Kingdom Of Heaven is at hand when He walked the earth .      In the Word and Holy Spirit we can manifest heaven on earth .
It is His will but is it yours?

What is the form of our Creator?
We need only look at man who was made in His image .
The Holy Spirit formed Jesus in Mary's womb for the purpose of manifesting Himself in the body of Jesus.
Since the Holy Spirit did this, Jesus did not think it presumptuous for Him to be equal with the Holy Spirit.
It is this thinking in His mind and heart that enabled Him to speak the words of the Holy Spirit and by the power of the Holy Spirit to do the works of the Holy Spirit - just as He had done in the beginning when He created all things.

Beloved, now are we the sons of the Holy Spirit, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. Translated from KJV
When we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and confess Him as our risen Saviour we are born of the Word and the Holy Spirit as New Spirit beings.
Accordingly, we are now Sons Of The Holy Spirit, even in these mortal bodies.     What glory we will experience in the translation at His appearing!
The 'appearing' of Christ has a two-fold meaning.
   → Jesus will return with every eye seeing Him and with us being translated from corruptible to incorruptible.     We will be gloriously changed into perfection
   → The spiritual revelation of our identity in Christ is also an appearing of Christ in our psyche.
When we begin to see ourselves as New Spirit beings empowered by the Holy Spirit we become like Christ Jesus.     The Mind Of Christ becomes our mind with the associated manifestation of His power and His authority.     -
