A sequence of photographs projected onto a screen with sufficient rapidity as to create the illusion of motion and continuity
The golden age of movies (1927-1963) produced quality entertainment with high moral content.   They reflected the professional and ethical standards of the movie moguls.   With the demise of the studio controlled industry along with the affluence (and moral decay) of the baby boom generation there was a precipitous decline in production quality and ethical content.

The fundamental problems with modern movies can be characterized as follows:

  • too long
  • boring dialog
  • dumbed down
  • vulgar
  • too explicit, too visual
  • poor sound quality - dialog is subjugated to background noise (including music)
  • self-serving (agenda based story lines)
  • weak actors
  • not enough character actors
