Not Arrogant or self-serving
Meekness is Understanding your position and operating in it.
It is not being pathetically Weak.
(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth).

Did Moses cease being Meek after his calling?
Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

No, because He continued to Obey God.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
The yoke of Christ is the Holy Spirit.     When we receive Christ we are born of the Holy Spirit and become New Creatures In Christ.     The Holy Spirit is our teacher and comforter.     It is in Him that we find rest.

Did Jesus cease being Meek when He ran the moneychangers out of the temple?
And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

No, because He continued to Humble Himself to the Father.

We are Righteous by imputation, not by effort.

You cannot be `innocent` by its traditional definition and function successfully in this corrupt World.

You must prosecute criminals, you must Rebuke Liars and Deceivers, you must Fight Wars against those who serve Satan, and you must demand that people Repent so that they can be Saved.

The concept of Christians being Meek in a World of Lions came from Satan who successfully used it to neuter most Believers.

We are Saved by Grace and expected by our Lord to make a meaningful change in the World as led by the Holy Spirit according to the Word Of God.
