We have always been and ever will be in bondage

Unwillingly

And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

Ignorance of Grace Through Faith puts us under bondage to the elements of the world.

And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
People who live in fear are in bondage.     They are victims of thievery.     They are being robbed of life.
Fear is evidence of unbelief.
Jesus came to make us Free Indeed so that we can enjoy eternal, Abundant Life right now.
Fear Steals the moment.     It steals `now` leaving us hoping for a tomorrow that never comes.
Recognize it for what it is and be set free In Christ Jesus.

Willingly

But now, after that you have known Lord, or rather are known of the Lord, how turn you again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto you desire again to be in bondage? Translated from KJV

When we understand Grace it makes no sense to return to the bondage of performance.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Anchored to Jam 1:25
The Perfect Law Of Liberty is an amazing benefit of Grace.
In Christ we are Free Indeed .
There is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus .
The Gospel is the good news that we are Accepted In The Beloved and have been given Eternal Life by the indwelling Holy Spirit.
We must bring the Truth of the Gospel to those in bondage and we must be vigilant so that those who do not understand these concepts do not bring us back into the bondage of legalism .
It is imperative that we make good decisions to avoid being trapped by Satan who would have us come back into bondage to sin .

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
Order is an aspect of our Lord`s character.

And whoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
This makes no sense to the Carnal Mind. It is aversion to service that causes the Carnal Minded individual to seek for mastery.

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
When a Christian is placed in a position of leadership they are actually receiving a heavier responsibility of service and accountability.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
The Holy Spirit Father of Christ Jesus responds to our glorification of Jesus.
In order to be honored by the Holy Spirit you must speak to Him
   → in Jesus name
   → calling Him Father
   → believing in His goodness
   → expecting His blessings to manifest
   → then praising the name of Jesus.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of the Holy Spirit, Translated from KJV
Paul was given the revelation of the Gospel.     It isolated him from the other apostles who added Faith in Jesus Christ to their Judaism.
His calling as apostle legitimized him with the other apostles.
But his calling and his message came to him because he offered himaelf as servant to Jesus Christ.
Note that the Gospel is the ` Gospel of God`.     Since God is a Spirit - the Holy Spirit - the Gospel is the Gospel of the Holy Spirit.     But the Gospel is referred to as the Gospel of Jesus Christ in and others.
This only appears as a contradiction to those who differentiate between God, the Father, and the Son.     When we understand that God is a Spirit, the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus, we understand that the Gospel is about the Spirit Soul And Body of God, which is manifested In Christ Jesus.

Deliverence

And Moses spoke so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? that you shall say unto him, By strength of hand the Lord brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear, and from the hard bondage wherein you were made to serve,

For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Holy Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Translated from KJV
Fear is bondage but we have been set Free Indeed by Christ Jesus and are now New Creatures seated with Christ in Heavenly Places.
The Heavenly Places is His Holy Spirit.

Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of the Lord. Translated from KJV
There is a certain degree of this experienced in the Physical Realm as we walk in the spirit by faith. However, our soul and body are stil corrupted and awaiting redemption at His appearing.

Deception
They answered him, We be Abraham`s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made free?
A person who is lost may not know they are lost.
A person who is in bondage may not realize they are in bondage.
The Holy Spirit convinces us that we are lost and in bondage so that we repent and believe the Truth.

And that because of false brothers unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
A person who denies the finished work of Christ is a false brother. Why? Because they want to bring you out of liberty and back into bondage.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
Knowing the Truth sets us free. A lie will always result in bondage.

20190123 - bondage and holiness How we live is nothing more than evidence of what we value.

If a person is Not walking in obedience in any specific way, they are simply bearing the fruit of what they value.

The challenge for each of us with respect to our own walk and when observing others is to understand that Christ is the only one who can manifest true holiness.

Any Sin fruit that is manifest is simply coming from an area where we have refused Christ`s lordship. So, we manifest the old Sin Nature instead of our New Nature which is Christ in us the hope of glory.

When our minds are truly transformed to the mind of Christ we cease from sin. That is a process but it is totally dependent on our will to manifest. It is important that we address the root rather than the fruit.

As long as there is a root of sin in us, it will manifest sooner or later.

Don`t ask Christ to remove something that you love more than Him. He won`t do it. When you begin to love Him more than you do that area of bondage, speak to it and cast it out.

When you do you will be free and that area of your life will be holy because Christ has moved into it.

20190516 - bondage and thought humans only think they have the power of independent thought. They lost that in eden. Eve thought she made the decision to eat the forbidden fruit but she was actually following satan`s idea that he planted in her mind.

At that point human nature became corrupted irretrievably. scripture tells us that the human heart is deceitful and wicked. In other words, our nature controls us more than our thought.

We often say a person believes what they want to believe. That is recognizing the fact that our nature drives even our thoughts and reasoning.

This is why Jesus said you must be born again. Only through the new birth can a person understand the things of God and, as a result, desire them.

We are either motivated by the Spirit of God through the new creature or by the fallen nature which is dominated by satan.

Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? -
