No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself.     I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.     This commandment have I received of my Father. - Joh 10:18 Jesus had the authority and power to lay His life down.      He had the authority and power to take it up again.      Who is His Father who gave Him such commandment?     The Holy Spirit.     Mat 1:18,20 Luk 1:35 So Jesus come by that authority and power by His own Spirit - the Holy Spirit.      no other person was involved.

But if I do, though you believe not me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. - Joh 10:38 They could not get past His physical appearance, His style or His words even though His works were obviously of the Lord.

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from Deity, and went to Deity; - Joh 13:3 Jesus knew these things because He believed the scriptures about Him.      When He was baptized of John in water He was also baptized with the Holy Spirit who condirmed His faith in the Word.      Jesus wants you to know who you are in the New Birth and to allow the Holy Spirit to work through you as He does in Him.      Jesus knew that He had stepped down from heaven where He was the eternal Word of the Holy Spirit and manifested Himself in flesh and blood for the purpose of being the sacrificial Lamb for the sins of the world.      He also knew that He would return to heaven and resume His role as the eternal Word of the Holy Spirit.      His Father, the Holy Spirit, had put all things in His hands to accomplish the conditions of Grace so that He, the Father, could dwell in us and we in Him.     Mat 28:18 This mutual indwelling is the gift of Eternal Life.     Joh 17:3

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. - Joh 14:17 The Spirit Of Truth is the Holy Spirit.      Why do people, including Christians, not receive the Holy Spirit?     They cannot see Him.      We recieve the Holy Spirit by asking in faith just like we received remission of sins and were Born Again.

If you have not been baptized with the Holy Spirit, the Father, you need to be.   This is His desire for you and of you, He wants intimate, personal relationship with you.   

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? - Luk 11:13 The Lord is so much more loving and giving than the best of parents.     He will give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks Him.      The reality is that many believers do not want to manifest as Sons Of The Holy Spirit.     They are content to just miss hell and enter heaven when they die.      But without the baptism of the Holy Spirit believers are ineffective as witnessed by the decline of the church and the secularization of society.      Jesus commanded the disciples to tarry in jerusalem until they received the power of the Holy Spirit.     Only then were they to go forth preaching the Gospel of the kingdom.      If the disciples who walked with Jesus needed Spirit Baptism, on what basis do believers think that they do not?

The Father ( Holy Spirit) wants to give Himself to you as you offer yourself to Him as a living sacrifice in the same way Christ Jesus did.   Rom 12:1
→ The Father will never leave you nor forsake you.   Heb 13:5
→ He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother.   
→ He will teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance.   
→ He will be an ever present help in time of need.   
→ He will empower you to teach, to heal, to deliver and to make disciples of others.
