- First instance:
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
- Life : But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

- And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
- Effect:

- Propitiation:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his Blood , to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God ;
- Justified:
Much more then, being now justified by his Blood , we shall be saved from wrath through him.
- Redemption:
In whom we have redemption through his Blood , the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his Grace ;
- Relationship:
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the Blood of Christ.
- Peace:
And, having made peace through the Blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

How much more shall the Blood of Christ , who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God , purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God ?

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
