| revelation is to be desired above all other knowledge.
Why?
Revelation is not obtainable by personal effort.
Revelation is not the same as understanding. A person may gain insight into a subject and discover more information about that subject that was there all along. This is understanding.
Revelation comes from the Spirit realm - heaven. It comes from the Lord.
The best example of revelation is the book of Genesis. Moses lived 2500 years after the events recorded in the first 3 chapters of Genesis. He did not record any of this information as "I heard that" or "it was passed down" or "legend has it".
Moses stated what actually happened 2500 years before he was born because the Lord revealed it to him. That is revelation.
Paul was given the revelation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His writings were inspired by Holy Spirit to teach us things for which Jesus laid Only the foundation. That is revelation. But I certify you, brothers, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. |
Understanding that Jesus meant what He said about faith, freedom, life, love, healing authority and power is revelation.
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: |
And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, All things are under Christ including us in the church of which He is head. |
Which is his body, the fulness of him that fills all in all. |
Without revelation we do not believe as we should; we do not speak as we should; We do not experience what we should.
Without Revelation we simply do not manifest as sons of the Lord.
Jesus said it was given unto us to know the mysteries of the kingdom - a spiritual kingdom that operates on spiritual laws and has power over the natural world.
Jesus instructed us to ask, seek and knock for what we desire. He instructed us to Hunger and Thirst for Him.
For those who do they will be Given, they will Find, it will be Opened and they will be filled.
Be Highly Educated. Ask Christ Jesus to reveal His love, His gifts and His mind to you

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of Heaven : and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven : and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

11 But I certify You, brethren, that the Gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Here are a few scriptures which speak to the reality of the Lord in the flesh:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the Truth, and the Life : no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that the Lord hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Here is a warning to stay true to the Gospel as revealed in the scriptures:
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto You than that which we have preached unto You, let him be accursed.
