Word

A word is an expression of a idea which is the product of a mind which is part of the soul (mind, will, emotions).

The Soul Of God expresses the Word Of God which is inspired by the Spirit Of God.
   → In the Old Testament the Soul Of God was expressed through prophets and angels inspired by the Spirit Of God.
   → In Christ Jesus the Soul Of God is manifested in the Body Of God by the Spirit Of God who fathered Him.
   → Jesus is the express image of God.
   → Jesus is the expression of the Soul Of God
   → Jesus reveals the Spirit Of God in His Words and works.
   → Jesus is God.

The Word Of The Lord is what Christ Jesus has spoken. When He speaks things happen.

"And the Lord said:"

Let there be light
Let there be a firmament
Let the waters be gathered
Let the earth bring forth plants
Let there be lights in the firmament
Let the waters bring forth creatures
Let the earth bring forth creatures
Let Us make man

After the Lord had spoken each thing into existence, He said it was Good :
And the Lord saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Translated from KJV
The good God produces nothing but very good things.

In culmination of All His prophetic statements in the Old Testament, Jesus Christ was born, and Preached, and Died, and Resurrected and delivered to us His Holy Spirit.
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
This is the most amazing prophecy ever uttered.

The Holy Spirit is upon me; because He has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; Translated from KJV
The Holy Spirit in Jesus made Him the Christ who preached the Gospel to us.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Jesus was guilt free. The suffering He bore was for us. The reproach He endured was ours. In His loving sacrifice He purchased our peace and healing.

For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.
This is direct prophecy of the resurrection of Christ but it is also our assurance that the Lord is our Saviour and deliverer,

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
This is the prophecy of our Lord`s will for us:
   → to be reconciled to Him
   → to be filled with His Spirit
   → to experience eternal, abundant life through His Spirit

Jesus said:
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord. Translated from KJV
This is not just a response to put Satan off. But, more importantly, it is a statement of Spiritual Law which clearly elevates the importance of every Word Of The Lord. We cannot experience Abundant Life without abiding in His Word.
Just as food is necessary for Physical Life, the Word Of God is necessary for Spiritual Life. the Lord is a Spirit so we can only relate to Him in Spirit and in Truth by faith. We need the Holy Spirit of the Lord and we need the Word Of The Lord.

The Word of the Lord
   → is powerful
   → is Creative
   → is Nourishing
   → is Satisfying
   → is Cleansing
   → is faith building
   → is life generating
   → is Necessary!

After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward.

The Lord tells Abram to fear not. He is telling him to get fear our of his life so that only faith remains.

Despite all the blessing that the Lord heaped upon Abram, the Lord Himself was Abram`s great reward.

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
The Word and the Holy Spirit are the most powerful seeds in the universe.     As says the Word and the Holy Spirit make up One God.
When a person is Born Again it happens by the Word and Holy Spirit.     But this New Creature is a spiritual infant.
Infants need nourishment to become productive adults.     In the Spirit Realm that nourishment is
   → the Word Of The Lord and
   → the Holy Spirit .
The Holy Spirit Seed serves to reveal the authority and power of the Word Seed so that those who grow in Grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus begin to manifest as Sons Of The Holy Spirit .

Your word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you. Anchored to Heb 10:16

Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Anchored to Psm 12:6
The Word Of The Lord is given to us to keep us from falling and to enable us to see the good Path for our lives.
To be disconnected from the Word is to be in darkness and so to stumble, fall and end up in a sorry place.

The entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding unto the simple. Anchored to Psm 12:6
The Word of the Lord is the light of Truth. It enables us to understand the things of our Lord. It enables us to fellowship with Him in Spirit and in Truth.

In the Lord will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word. Translated from KJV
We truly worship when we worship in the Holy Spirit and Truth.

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Signs confirm the Word. When we are preaching and teaching the Word as written, the Holy Spirit performs the work of the promises that it contains.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.
`The Word was made flesh` means that the eternal Word Of The Lord was born into the human family.
`begotten of the Father` speaks to the fact that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary.
`full of grace and truth` speaks to the character of the Holy Spirit being manifested in the Soul and Body of Christ Jesus.
Christ Jesus is the express image of the Father, and that image is the pattern used to create Adam and all humanity.     We are Spirit Soul And Body as is our Creator, Saviour and Lord, Christ Jesus.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed;
To continue in the Word is to become a doer of it.     It is to allow the Word to change how you see, how you hear, how you think, how you speak and what you do.
Don`t skip a step and don`t stop short.
   → Hearing is step 1.
   → Believing is step 2.
   → Receiving is step 3
   → Doing is step 4.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word,

When the leadership is getting converted, you (by the Holy Spirit) are doing something right.

But what says it? The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
The Word Of Faith is our objective in terms of operating in the Spirit. Relationship is still paramount but our ability to affect the world is dependent on the Word and our utilization of it by speaking the Word Of Faith,
Those who would discount Word Of Faith do not grasp the authority and power delivered to us through Christ Jesus by His Holy Spirit.

We are only able to obtain the Faith Of Christ by hearing, believing and receiving His Words. When we do, He makes us free in the New Birth and gives us His Holy Spirit who takes the Word we know and adds power to it enabling us to do the works that Christ did.
We are totally dependent on reaching people through the Word Of The Lord. It is the Truth. It is revelation, It is salvation, It is victory, It is peace, It is love. It is joy in the Holy Spirit.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
We must willfully and purposefully allow the Word to transform our minds and hearts so that we walk in wisdom and joy, worshipping the Lord because of the Grace that has been imparted to us.
Edifying others with what the Lord reveals to us is a critical part of growing in Grace and knowledge of Him.
Freely we receive so freely we give.

If you put the brothers in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto you have attained.
good doctrine is simple doctrine based on the Gospel of Grace Through Faith,

Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
Most important qualifications of a Bishop.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
When the Word Of The Lord is mixed with The Measure Of Faith we tap in to the Faith Of Christ which saves us, heals us, delivers us and prospers us.
But when a person hears the Gospel and does not receive it - refuse to allow it transform their heart - it profits them nothing.
Either prosperity or poverty will manifest according to how the Word affects our heart.

For the word of the Lord is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Translated from KJV
The Word of the Lord destroys our Sin Nature and makes us a New Spirit being.
   → If we stay in the Word it will transform our minds to the Mind Of Christ.
   → If we trust the Word it will heal our bodies.
   → By the Word and the Holy Spirit we come to have the thoughts and intents of the Lord so purifying our hearts.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of the Lord, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Translated from KJV
Jesus spoke the universe into existence. We know this by faith in His Word.

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
We are saved because the Holy Spirit loves us.     He desired us, created us, redeemed us, filled us and has made us Accepted In The Beloved.
Note that we are born of the Word and the Holy Spirit.

   → the Holy Spirit is the inspiration and essence of Jesus.
   → we are begotten of the Holy Spirit as New Spirit beings on the authority of what Jesus has accomplished for us.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh.
Soul Salvation is the work of the Holy Spirit bringing revelation of the Word into our hearts producing Heart Faith.
It is preservation of and enhancement of our earthly walk as we mortify the flesh and Walk By Faith.

But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Exercise what you know in the Lord. Practice is the only way to improve your spiritual skills.
Self-deception occurs when we mentally agree to something but deny it in our heart. The proof of faith is what we do.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of the Lord, which lives and abides for ever. Translated from KJV
The seed that births us into the Kingdom Of God is the Word of the Lord - writtern and incarnate. Both the Incarnate Word and the Written Word abide forever.

But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Communion with the Lord
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my Words : and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Confidence in prayer
If You abide in me, and my words abide in You, You shall ask what You will, and it shall be done unto You.
Success and prosperity

To the degree that we suffer lack in any area of life, it means that we haven’t taken the Word seriously.   His Word is life.   It contains what You need.

It is amazing how we so often complain about what we don’t have, how sick we are, or tell people about our emotional swings, relationship problems and our fears, and then we go to church and praise the Lord.   We are too often living by our words and Not The Word.
Words contain power.   Death and life are in the power of the tongue .    Filling our hearts and minds with negativity and then speaking is the same as authorizing All of our worries to come to pass.   Everything You have is a product of your words. Healing is in the Word.   Joy is in the Word.   Peace, abundance, faith and victory are All in the Word.   Once the Word is in You, it will come out of your mouth with power and your life will be changed.

Fear is a sign of weakness and results in defeat.     Fear is a manifestation of unbelief.
Nature is subject to man going all the way back to the eden .      Jesus demonstrated that dominion.

But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
The Son Of Man demonstrated the dominion of man over the forces of nature and of Satan.

The Word prevailed in Matthew 8 :5-12. The Word in Jesus` lips prevailed over the disease in the Centurion`s servant.

In Matthew 14:13-21, the Word in Jesus` lips ruled the law of supply and demand.   Five loaves and two fishes multiplied until five thousand people were fed and twelve baskets of fragments were left over.

What does it mean by in the beginning was the Word ?
   → A `word` is an expression of an idea.
   → An idea comes from a mind that is self-aware and able to think.
   → When a word is spoken it has a purpose and it often has an intensity or emotion connected with it.
   → Mind, will and emotions constitute a Soul.
So, the Soul Of God existed in the beginning.
What does it mean by the Word was with God ?
   → God is a Spirit
   → A spirit is the qualitative aspect of a being.     It represents the nature and value system of that being.
   → The spirit of a being is the essence of that being.
   → So, the Soul Of God was with the Spirit Of God in the beginning.
What does it mean by the Word was God ?
   → It means that the Soul Of God and the Spirit Of God constitute one divine being.
emphasizes the fact that the Soul Of God and the Spirit Of God existed in the beginning.
tells us that this God who is Soul and Spirit created all things.
tells us that Jesus made the world.
tells us that the Soul Of God, the Word, was made flesh and dwelt among us.     Now we have the Body Of God.     This is Jesus.
tells us that Jesus is the express image of God.
So, God is a single being who is Spirit Soul And Body just as man is who was created in His image .

Jesus is the physical manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Before Jesus was born in the flesh, He existed as the image of the Holy Spirit in heaven and on earth, though His form may have changed as needed.
These physical manifestations of preincarnate Jesus are called theophanies.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Jesus is the eternal and Incarnate Word who spoke and the Holy Spirit created all things.
