Most Christians defer to the will of the Lord. Unfortunately, most Christians don`t know the will of the Lord.
Instead of searchng the scriptures to find out the Lord`s will, they make assumptions based on tradition and experience. The result is that Christians have settled for less than the Lord`s best while non-Christians are never exposed to the Truth.
Can we really know the will of the Lord? Yes!
How can we know the Lord`s will? By searching His Word, by listening to the holy Spirit, by praying in tongues.
The most important way to know the Lord`s will is to read and meditate on His Word.
The following scriptures tell us what the Lord will do.
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. |
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, says the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffs at him. |
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with mine eye. |
The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: you will make all his bed in his sickness. |
For this Lord is our Lord for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. |
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. |
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. |
Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name. |
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. |
He will not suffer your foot to be moved: he that keeps you will not slumber. |
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our Lord; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. This will be the shout of those who are caught up to Him. |
In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will the Lord appoint for walls and bulwarks. |
For I will defend this city to save it for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake. |
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. |
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you. |
Yes, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? |
I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: |
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. |
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: |
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you. |
For the Lord will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. |
Behold, the Lord will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up. |
For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the Lord of Israel will be your rereward. |
Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. |
For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. |
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. |
And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon your feet, and I will speak unto you. |
And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. |
And he says unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. |
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be you clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. |
All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out. |
And this is the Father's will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. We are Christ's workmanship: |
No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. |
Who will render to every man according to his deeds: |
!insert Cor 6:18
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: We bear His reproach so we can reign with Him. |
Draw near to the Lord, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. |
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. It will happen suddenly with everyone seeing Him and that which is impure will be consumed with the Word of His mouth. |
And I will give him the morning star. |
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. |
