Just as Greek_Philosophy started with revelation and ended with rationalism Modern_Philosophy started with revelation and ended with rationalism.

The difference is that the Greek philosophers labored with only a single ray of revelation which was not the Full Revelation while the modern philosophers started with Full Revelation (which they rejected) and degenerated into rationalism bereft of even the glimmer of revelation.

This accounts for the darkness of modern philosophy. Once Truth is rejected, confusion, futility and death follow. The rational mind is enmity with God .
