Since Liberals do not invest themselves heavily in traditional faith, they fill the spiritual void by adopting liberal agendas as their mantra.   

A Liberal reacts to challenges of their positions on political matters much like a conservative reacts to challenges to their religious faith.   

The principles of liberalism are:

1. liberals are never wrong and their good intentions are never to be questioned.   
2. Not even incontrovertible evidence or common sense can supercede the precepts of the first law.   
3. The "poor" are only "poor" because a "rich" person has exploited them.   
4. All decisions made by people are equal and one should never question the decisions or actions of another unless that person disagrees with a liberal.   All opinions are equal regardless of their validity and one should never question the opinions of anyone unless that person disagrees with a liberal.   
5. The way to solve any problem is to create a new government program.   This program should be administered by unelected bureaucrats and use a large sum of the funds designated to solve the problem to fund itself.   
6. In order to fund the new programs under the Fifth Law taxes will have to be raised, but only on those that can "afford" it.   
7. The "legacy" of any liberal will never be questioned or tampered with even if the concepts that make up that "legacy" are failing.   
8. The "seriousness of the charge" is more important than the truthfulness of the charge when dealing with anyone that is not a liberal.   
9. Neither the "seriousness of the charge" nor the truthfulness of the charge is important when a liberal is accused of wrong doing.   
10. Any time a liberal is accused of doing something wrong or even proven to have done something wrong the Vast right Wing Conspiracy shall be blamed.   
11. The ends justify the means.   Whatever it takes to achieve its goal is legitimate.
