Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Eph 3:20 The power that works in us is the Holy Spirit, who is the Gift Of Christ in us.      Our Lord is only able to do these wonderful things by His Holy Spirit in us, while the Holy Spirit in us is effective only to the extent that we submit to Him.      Consider also the following verses: Mar 11:23,24 Mar 9:23 2Co 8:9 Eph 3:8 3Jn 1:2 Joh 14:12 Mar 16:17

What is the power?   

But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Act 1:8 The Holy Spirit is the Gift Of Christ Jesus Himself.      We are weak in the flesh but by the power of His Holy Spirit we can do all things.     At the top of the list of 'all things' is spreading the Gospel of salvation by Grace Through Faith.      Jesus did not say you will receive tongues or gifts.     He said you will receive power to be witnesses unto Him.     Tongues and gifts are for the church which is the Body Of Christ.

How do we get the power?   

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Heavenly Father give Himself to them that ask him? Luk 11:13 The Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus and the Gift Of Christ to us.      To receive Christ is to receive His Holy Spirit.      The Holy Spirit is so much more loving and giving than the best of parents.     He will give Himself to anyone who asks Him.      The reality is that many believers do not want to manifest as Sons Of The Holy Spirit.     They are content to just miss hell and enter heaven when they die.      But without the baptism of the Holy Spirit believers are ineffective as witnessed by the decline of the church and the secularization of society.      Jesus commanded the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they received the power of the Holy Spirit.     Only then were they to go forth preaching the Gospel of the kingdom.      If the disciples who walked with Jesus needed Spirit Baptism, on what basis do believers think that they do not?

How does the power work?   

I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the kindnesses of the Lord, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto the Lord, which is your reasonable service. Rom 12:1 Paul urgently entreats us to service because of the mercy and Grace of our Lord that we have received.      Furthermore, since the body is to be redeemed at our Lord's appearing we ought to make the temporal body of flesh a sacrifice to His service.      The Holy Spirit is the sanctifier 1Cor 6:11 and so our body of flesh is usable by Him.      We serve our Lord Jesus Christ by submitting to the lead of His Holy Spirit in us.

Submit yourselves therefore to the Lord.     Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Jam 4:7 These commands ensure victory.      The Lord wants only your best interest served, so work with Him.      Satan, on the other hand, is the enemy and must be resisted whenever and wherever he appears.      We submit from our will just as we rebel from our will.     The rebellious attitude leads to destruction while the submissive attitude leads to eternal, abundant life in the Holy Spirit.      By the way, you don't have to submit to someone who has Extreme Sovereignty.

But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Jud 1:20 Pray in your Prayer Language to be strengthened spiritually, physically and mentally meditating on the Word Ofthe Lord on which your faith rests.      Paul said that he spoke with tongues more than all the people at corinth.     He was talking about exercising his Prayer Language.

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 1Th 1:5 We need to speak with the authority of the Word by the power of the Holy Spirit in order to see results.

Be not you therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be you partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of the Holy Spirit; 2Ti 1:8 Do not avoid persecution by suppressing the Testimony Of Jesus Christ.      That is a form of denial of our Lord Mat 10:32,33.      We are compelled to preach the Gospel in the Great Commission Mar 16:15.      You overcome by the Word Of Your Testimony and the blood of the lamb Rev 12:11.      Remember, it is Christ In You that manifests the testimony of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.      If you don't exercise the Word Of Your Testimony you may, in fact, not have one.      Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you Jam 4:8.      Love the Lord and He will love you more by manifesting Himself to you and through you Pro 8:17 Rev 3:20.      When you exercise your Testimony Of Jesus Christ there will be people who receive it and people who reject it.      Those who receive it will love you for sharing.      Those who reject it will hate you as they hate the Lord Jesus whom they reject.     Such people will persecute you as a defensive mechanism to justify themselves in their rebellion.      Let your Testimony Of Jesus Christ flow out of the Holy Spirit in you.     In so doing, your testimony will be delivered in power and authority by Him.
