God simply means 'deity'.   It is not the name of deity.
To empower the term 'god' as a proper name is not a trivial matter.   When a proper name is assigned a being, that name receives honour and, in the case of deity, it receives worship.
And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Jesus means Saviour.     It is how our Creator wants to be knows - as Jesus.

And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS.
The naming of Jesus (which means Saviour) was important because in using the name of Jesus and its power we are reminded that He is Saviour.

And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
Jesus means 'the Lord is my salvation'.

We see in the above verses that 'deity' has chosen His own name.   That name is Jesus.
Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus is the Holy Spirit in flesh.     It is necessary to believe this about Jesus in order to be Born Again of the Holy Spirit.     Those who reject Jesus, reject the Holy Spirit.

He is the Way: Jesus is the path to our Creator.
He is the Truth: Jesus is the Truth about our Creator
He is the Life: Jesus is the Creator by His Holy Spirit who fills us giving us life.

As disciples of Christ we must share this Gospel Truth with everyone in our lives.

It will either be a testimony for them leading to Eternal Life with Christ or a testimony against them in The Judgment leading to Eternal Death in the Lake Of Fire.

And in that day you shall ask me nothing.     Truly, truly, I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
That day is the day of pentecost when the Holy Spirit came to dwell in our hearts.     He is the Father and the Son in us.     As we fellowship with the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus we receive whatever we ask of Him.

At that day you shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
The disciples dependency on the physical body of Jesus was being broken.     He is now directing the disciples to the Father who is Spirit - the Holy Spirit - who will give us what we ask for.

In the above verses we hear Jesus telling us that His name is necessary for connecting to His Holy Spirit who is the Father.
And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Who gave Jesus this power and authority?
His Holy Spirit who had birthed Him, annointed Him and raised Him from the dead is the source of all things and Jesus is His express image.

If all power in heaven and earth belongs to Christ Jesus there is no power or authority left for any other being in the universe.
This means that He and He alone is
    Mighty God
    Everlasting Father
    Saviour
    Lord
    King.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
This means that all other religions are false.     They do not lead to the Lord our Creator and Saviour.

This is not a Politically Correct verse, but the Lord does not concern Himself with man's politics or his opinions.

God came to earth and we call Him Jesus.
To deny Jesus is to deny the Lord.
To deny Jesus who is the Truth is to deny the Truth and so believe a lie.

For this reason we are to preach the Gospel to every creature throughout the world .

Christianity has taken a very narrow view and understanding of salvation, limiting it to the spirit of man that is renewed by faith in Christ Jesus.

Jesus did not talk about or deal exclusively with eternity.     He dealt with the Human Condition in the Physical Realm by healing, by delivering, by teaching and, when necessary, by feeding the hungry.     So, we need to understand that Christ came to make us whole in every aspect of our existence.

In the above verses we see that there is no other being holding power in heaven or earth other than Jesus Himself, and that salvation is available only through His name, Jesus.
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Holy Spirit Father.
All humanity will speak in confession that Jesus is Lord and thus glorify the Father whose plan He fulfilled.

Who is the Father?     Holy Spirit.

It was the Holy Spirit that impregnated Mary.     It was the Holy Spirit that was in Jesus empowering Him to speak and do His will.

Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father.
Jesus is the body of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.

In the above verse we see that Jesus is Lord and that every person will eventually acknowledge that fact.   This acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord glorifies His Holy Spirit.

It is bad practice at the least and idolatrous at the worst to give glory to the proper name, 'God', when we now know who the Creator is - Christ Jesus.
Most trinitarians, either intentionally or unintentionally, worship 'God' from time to time as if he exists apart from Christ Jesus.
Likewise, most trinitarians relegate the Holy Spirit to the third person in the godhead when, in fact, the Holy Spirit is the one and only Spirit Of God.   The Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ which is the essence of Christ Jesus.   He is what makes the body and soul of Christ Jesus deity.
It may be difficult for trinitarians to give up their three-gods-in-one concept but the truth is that the Lord is One Lord.   He is Spirit Soul And Body just as we who were created in His image are Spirit Soul And Body.
Our Creator is the Holy Spirit who expresses His soul in and through the Words of Christ Jesus and manifests Himself physically in the body of Christ Jesus.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord, our Lord is one Lord:
How much plainer can it be made?     There are not three gods or persons, there is only one being who is Lord and His name is Jesus.

Jesus Is Lord

When you read or hear the word, Lord, think Jesus.

Who is like unto the Lord, our Lord, who dwells on high,
The answer is no one.     Our Lord Jesus is above all in power and authority.     His Holy Spirit fills the universe and beyond.

You shall have no other gods before me.
The Lord is preeminent and He must be preeminent in us in order for us to be accepted by Him.

Who is the 'me' that is speaking?     It is preincarnate Christ Jesus

Not understanding that Jesus is the 'God' who speaks throughout the Bible is the cause of much confusion and weakness in the Body Of Christ.

This verse is echoed in the New Testament verses: .

The above statements are speaking of pre-incarnate Christ Jesus.   Jesus was telling us that He is the One Lord and He must be worshipped above all other gods.

Do not elevate 'God' above Jesus.   Do not even think about a 'God' other than Jesus.   To do so is idolatrous - a violation of the first commandment.
