And the Lord called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.     And the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen 1:5 The Solar system was ordered so as to provide for days and nights, months and years.

And the Lord called the firmament Heaven.     And the evening and the morning were the second day. Gen 1:8 This heaven is not the Spirit Realm.     It is just the space above the surface of the earth.

Jesus was laid in the tomb before the evening of the first of 3 days in which He remained in the grave.
