Title: There is no record of Jesus water baptizing anyone

If Water Baptism is necessary for salvation, why did our Lord not Water Baptize?
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire:
This is John the Baptist speaking about four things
    Water Baptism
    repentance
    Jesus
    Spirit Baptism.

Water Baptism is a sign that the person being baptized is repentant.     Repentance is necessary to access the Grace of the Lord.     Jesus is the object to which we turn after repenting of our old ways of thinking, believing and living.

Though John does not mention it here, the repentance and confession of Christ Jesus as the risen Lord confirm our redemption by Grace .

We are redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus.     Redemption is all on His part.     We add nothing to it.

Once we are Born Again as a result of repentance and faith In Christ Jesus we are to be filled with His Holy Spirit.

We respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
by repenting of unbelief and wickedness
by believing that Jesus is 'God',
by receiving Christ Jesus by faith as our Saviour,
by asking Him to fill us with His Holy Spirit.

Spirit Baptism is the end-game for our existence on earth.
the Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ in us
the Holy Spirit seals us to the Lord Jesus.
Receiving the Spirit Of Christ is intimate union with Jesus.
the Holy Spirit is Eternal Life in us
the Holy Spirit in us is our expectation of glory
the Holy Spirit is power in us to do the supernatural.
the Holy Spirit is the witness of Christ Jesus in us.

In this verse John is minimizing his work of baptizing in water while elevating the work of Christ Jesus who enables us to be filled with His Holy Spirit.

Jesus fulfilled all righteousness and so He was Water Baptized.   But the Gospels do not record a single instance of Him Water Baptizing anyone, including His disciples.

By implication we can conclude that Water Baptism is not necessary for salvation.   But being Baptized In The Name Of Jesus Christ is necessary.
Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the HolySpirit:
We are to teach all nations.     What do we teach?     The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the key component of the Gospel?     That Jesus is the Truth about our Creator.

What is the Truth?     That Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

But how can Jesus be the Father and the Son?     To understand this we must know who the Father is.     He is the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said 'I and my Father are One'.     This means that the Holy Spirit Father is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.     Jesus spoke through the prophets about Himself.     He then became the person He prophesied about - Jesus.

Jesus fathered Himself by His Holy Spirit, just as He raised Himself from the dead by His Holy Spirit.

So, rather than talking about some confusing trinitarian circular logic about the three-in-one godhead, we aught to recognize that Jesus is the name of the Father, that Jesus is the name of the Son and that Jesus is the name of the Holy Spirit.

The 'name' of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is 'Jesus'.     Jesus is the Father.     He is the Son.     He is the Holy Spirit.

'Baptize' simply means 'immerse'.

Jesus did not specify that we be baptized in water.     Rather, He said we were to be baptized in 'the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit'.     Jesus is that name.     We are to be immersed in Him who is the Truth about deity.

The Truth is that we should speak of 'God' only in the context of Jesus.     Otherwise we move into an area of speculation, mysticism and error.     Jesus is the only Truth about 'God'.     Note that we are to grow in Grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus and not 'God' .

A key aspect of the Truth of Jesus is His being the express image of the Holy Spirit, our Heavenly Father.     Jesus is a divine man.     He is Spirit Soul And Body.     His Spirit is the Holy Spirit, and that which the Holy Spirit fathered is His Soul and Body.     Jesus Is Lord.

So, teaching is the means by which people are immersed into Christ Jesus, understanding who He is, what He did and what He expects from us.

Water Baptism is a ritual and should be treated as such.     It is not spiritual.     Teaching and immersing the hearers into Jesus is the point of this verse.

Jesus is commanding His disciples to tell the world about Him, Jesus, who is the Father, who is the Son, who is the embodiment of the Holy Spirit.   He is telling them to immerse everyone they encounter with the name of Jesus in which all power in heaven and earth resides.

The Great Commission is for us to preach the Gospel to every creature so that they many be Baptized In The Name Of Jesus Christ and so become His disciples.
